You Get Six Words. Choose Wisely.

I have been “Six Word Memoir” tagged by Jeremy at Generation X Finance.  I have posted a couple of these as anonymous comments on other blogs this year, and as I went back and looked at these - it’s apparent that my ‘autobiography’ changes each passing day:

The first was, “We spend more than we save.” (Early 2008)

Then it was, “Living on less, saving much more.” (March 2008)

Now I would say that it’s, “Weddings are expensive, nontraditional solutions abound.

Or, “Storytelling is easy, blogging is hard.

Or, “The road to true wealth requires patience.” (This one’s my favorite!)

So, I cheated and wrote three (making it an 18-word memoir), but each represents a facet of what’s most important to me right now.

I love that you must be succinct in order to write a meaningful six word memoir - it forces one to consider their word choice carefully (which is something I think nearly every writer can improve upon).  This is the same reason I’m having so much fun with Twitter, which enforces a 140 character limit.

I’m supposed to tag a few others with this little exercise - I choose Squawkfoxcatrocketship, and vh at FunnyAboutMoney (if you haven’t already done one).  Also, if any readers would like to add their own mini-bio to the comments, I really enjoy reading them!

Stumble it!
