BankerGirl’s Week In Review 2.1.2008
TGIF - Thank God It’s February!
January was a rough month for me - several unexpected bills and a persistent cold combined with the fact that I’m on a diet made me a grumpy BankerGirl. I’m so glad that it’s now February and we’re one month closer to spring. I’m not the only one who’s thankful for January’s conclusion, SingleMa posted on a similar vein yesterday.
The rest of today’s links are completely unrelated - so here they are in no particular order:
- I found this piece by Penelope Trunk to be especially helpful as I’m being considered for a role that I’m not entirely qualified for (it’s a marketing gig within another business unit at my firm). I’ll let you know how that goes in a future post.
- I’m planning on filing my taxes this weekend (decided to go with TurboTax again this year). I’ll be referring back to Nickel’s post on commonly missed deductions.
- My final pick of the week is from the New York Times and it correlates with my previous post about The Omnivore’s Dilemma. Michael Pollan is actually quoted in this article. Looks like In Defense of Food needs to be added to my “must read” list.
Happy February, all!
Stumble it!

Well, you are still pretty darn nice even when you are grumpy!
Doing my taxes tomorrow as well (TurboTax)
